Leading Ladies are Back!!

This January, I re-launched my absolute favourite passion project, Leading Ladies Networking events. When I founded the event in 2012, I was fortunate to partner with one the most beautiful restaurants in Halifax, The Press Gang, as venue host. While the atmosphere is unbelievably gorgeous, with amazing cocktails, menu and impeccable service, there’s just not enough room for all the powerhouse ladies in this town!

Fast forward to 2017, we are so proud to be in our new location, the gorgeous glass atrium at Lot Six Bar & Restaurant

I can barely describe the feeling of having so much powerful energy in one room (or how loud it gets) but I can describe the feeling of having countless women approach me throughout the evening and afterwards to tell me how amazing their experiences were. One woman said in all her 20+ years of networking this was hands-down the best, most genuine and exciting networking event she’s ever attended. Can you even imagine how proud that makes me? I had another lady tell me she went with a friend and was just planning on hanging out, not really that interested in doing any networking, who walked away with one new client and many new solid connections.

Tim Lingley, you’re amazing! Thank you for capturing the electricity and energy at our networking events!!

Speaking of capturing the magic… hold on to your hats ladies, we’re shooting a promo video at our next event with one of our very own leading ladies, lifestyle tv host Terri Lynn Kearsey! If the name sounds familiar that’s because you’ve probably seen her out and about in Nova Scotia asking questions (and taking names).

Special thanks to our amazing event planning students for greeting our guests with style and grace at the door. Heather Coutts and Sandra Thompson of Divinci College’s Event Planning Program – I can’t thank you enough!

Thanks to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and Eastern Front Theatre for providing some major wow-factor door prizes for our ladies. There was even a scream of excitement from the crowd when I drew for the prizes!

If you’ve never experienced our event, I hope I get to meet you at the next one, and if you’ve already attended our events in the past, I look forward to seeing you!!
